Where: Glidewell Rd., VA • Richmond, VA Notes: While sitting on my back porch it is always a pleasure to hear the bubbly, cheery call of this exquisite little bird in the distance. As its song gets closer and louder, I know my eyes are in for a real treat as well. The Goldfinch is a year-round regular in this area. I have noticed them feeding off the heads of the Zinnias and Cone Flowers in the backyard garden several times this summer. I always though it would make a lovely photo to capture such a combination. This photo capture made it just in time to be included in the 2012 iPhotoBirds.com Calendar. |
