Where: Richmond, VA • Brook Road, Lakeside Area Notes: Whenever I have the opportunity to tie together a specific species with something that displays its niche in the world; I take advantage of such a union. To me, this is the classic Goldfinch portrait, as it tears open an expired thistle bloom to expose the tasty seeds within. This is one of their favorite foods. I learned early on, that a photograph should tell a story. The elements of a beautiful bird, a blooming wildflower and a gentle breeze, combine for a peaceful summertime tale. Happening upon this moment with the support, patience and participation of my partner made this an additional Blessing to have shared. |
