This is the most detailed hummingbird photo I have captured so far. Even at 4,400 feet of elevation the "hummers" are still buzzing around. This shot was captured between this male's defence of a sugar water feeder on the back deck of the mail lodge. That iridescent glow from his throat patch only reflects when turned into the sun at the right angle, otherwise it appears almost black (left).
