Where: Bedford County, VA • Ranchette Drive in Goode Notes: This may be the favorite of all the wintery images I have ever captured. I came across it recently while was compiling images for a winter Holiday Card Collection. It got me thinking about the upcoming winter months as Thanksgiving and the college football seasons pass. Christmas decorations are once again pulled out of their boxes and there is much to be grateful for, if I just take a moment to reflect. Our feathered friends begin to arrive at their migration destinations, while others ready themselves to endure the cold. Migration seems to have been a slow gradual movement this year, possibly due to the unusually warm fall temperatures. As our visitors from the north arrive and as the winter chill sets in, I look forward to seeing more of our winter guests.
