Notes: Results of an early morning walk along the causeway along South Carolina's Garden City Beach. I had opportunity to shoot photos of several different Rails as just enough sunlight became available that morning. The Rails, all of which were Clappers, would venture out of their grassy refuge to forage along the canal mud flats left by the low tide. This was one of the last shots I got that morning as the sun rose higher over the horizon and the Rails began to return to the safety of the marsh grass.
